Course Objectives

Allied’s Medical Administrative Assistant Course will provide students with the information to :

  5. Identify legal and ethical considerations of the profession.
  6. Describe emergency procedures and first aid.
  7. Apply efficient medical office skills (patient scheduling, basic medical records management) with the use of computers and telephones
  8. Produce error free office memorandums, professional letters, and other office communications.
  9. Explain the basic financial practices of medical insurance, medical billing and coding, and accounting practices.
  10. Describe employment strategies for securing a medical administrative position.
